Happy Memorial Day

Hello everyone hope your having a great holiday weekend. Enjoying family gatherings, cookouts , lots of sumshine and fun. I  wanted to take time to Thank all those who serve in the Armed Forces, past and present, for your service.
This is a card  just to say thank you .

Those who know me personally know I love photography as much as I do scrapbooking. Photography for me is a beautiful creative release. For me there's always another way of looking at things other than just seeing. There is usually art and beauty in most things I see everyday. I just have to look at it at another angle sometimes to see that beauty.

This Photo was taken at a cemetarty near my home. To me it shows Gratitude, Honour, Respect  to those who serve and who have served to defend our freedoms and borders. May God richly bless each and everyone of you and your families. You all have a specail place in our hearts forever.
THank you and Happy Memorial Day.

The beach is very elegant and I love it. I am a follower. My favorite beach memory is returning to Daytonna Beach last fall with my family and spending the day playing on the beach with them. Then getting to drive my new car down the beach. I had gone to Daytonna when I was in college and always said someday I would return when I was older with my family and drive my car down the beach. I got to do both and it was so much fun!!!

First of all Thank you so much for stopping by my blog along this hop and for your awesome comments. Thank you for sharing your special memories of the beach and family with me.This has been my first blog hop and I don't think it could have been any better. To be in this incredible line up among these talented crafters and meeting all of you has truly been a joy. So thank you to all involved for making it a great experience.
Now on to my project for the day. This one is very sentimental to me. This sand and shells were giving to me by my husband before we were married. We had been dating only a short while, he had made previous plans to see his Brother , who at that time was in the Navy. I could not go because I could get off work. So since I couldn't go to the beach, my husband brought the beach to me.The Sweetest thing ever.
he brought the shells and the sand back to me in a soda cup.
I never wanted these to get thrown in a box or drawer so I came up with the idea of keeping them here, so no matter how cold or how much snow we get here in Indiana...I've always got the beach.
If we ever get to go back, we plan on adding to our personal beach. This being the last day of our hop I wanted to share my favorite beach memory with you. Thank you again. Have a wonderful day and be blessed.

Welcome to Day 4 of our Hop. I'm am so excited to share this next project with you. I almost just couldn't wait. Have you ever wanted to do a project and you felt like you just couldn't get the hang of it ?? That's the way the "MINI ALBUMS" are for me. I've tried a few and just wasn't happy with what I was accomplishing. I  still have a long way to go on these but I feel like this one is better than the others I've Made.

This was made from 4 empty toilet paper rolls. They were flattened using my bone folder.I cut a template about 5inches long and about 9 inches wide. After I glued the paper to the tube, I mitered the corners. So when you fold it in the tube it will be smooth.
and won't show the edges of the tube.

I used up alot of scrap paper on this project.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
I used binding rings to hold it together. They are 1 inch rings.
I chose to use 4 tubes. You could use more if you wanted a bigger book.
These are also the perfect size for gift cards.
Well here's my little Mini album...
 I hope you like it.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit and checking out my mini. ..Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this project, or if you have a tip you'd like to pass on please feel free. Don't forget to hit all the stops along this hop . you never know what you could be missing. Thanks again for hopping by and I hope To see you tomorrow along the same trail. Have a wonderful Day .

It's a standard A2 card. I thought it turned out pretty cute.  I left the front of the card blank because I thought it just looked "happy" as it was. You could always add whatever sentiment you'd like if you decided to make one like it for someone.

Welcome To Day 2 ... Today I'd like to share a layout I made. Doesn't this make you wanna hit the water and enjoy the sun? These are pics of my youngest daughter and son enjoying a beautiful summer day. Wow, they definitely look like their having a blast in all their silliness.
The "Making A Splash" captioned was cut from my sports mania cartridge. I love the versatility of these carts.
I enhanced the caption a little bit with my star dust stickles.
I used strand pearls held on by the stickles to give a water droplet effect
because you know by looking at these pics these kids would have water everywhere. These layouts are pretty simple, but I really like "em. I hope you do to.
Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this layout.

I would love to share something really special with you today. This was created by my youngest daughter Mckenzie. She's 13 years old and she's been making bracelets and necklaces since she's been tiny. She started out with the macaroni necklace in kindergarten ( I thought it was Beautiful too ) but as she's grown  over the years she's become very talented .The jewelry she designs is truly beautiful. She made this necklace and matching earrings just for this Hop.Keeping with the "I'd Rather Be At The Beach Theme of coarse...it has blue and white marbled glass beads, just a Beach feel. It's adorned with a  flip flops charm. I'm not sure if you can see the details of the flip flops or not but they have flower/smiley on them. This necklace has matching earrings....And Guess what....SHE"S GIVING THE SET AWAY !!  Yes. BLOG CANDY ...Just leave McKenzie a comment and let her know how much you like her creation and your name will go into a drawing for the set. We will post the winner at the end of the week.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure you hop along again tomorrow.

This one was made for my Mom.

Dandy Card Instructions

I've had several people ask me about this card.So I thought I'd go ahead and put the basic instructions back on here.
It's A very simple card to make but I had alot of fun making it. It's a standard 41/2 by 5 1/2 card...(A2)...I used the Classic Font Cart to make the flowers and the leaves.I love this cart it has so many basic shapes that can be used for anything.
I cut 2 flower shapes the same size and 1 flower shape smaller.
To assemble : I just stacked the 2 larger flowers and off set the petals so it has some dimension to it. Then I added the smaller flower to the center. Waa Laa you have a dandilion.

I used a paper crimper for the grass and stem of the dandilion. cut straight down the groove for the stem. For the grass cut slits in the groove of the crimped paper and ruffle it alittle and you have grass. That's all there is to it.Assemble it all on lime green card stock and you have it.Thank you so much for visiting. Leave your comments, I love them :)
